It ​all started in a darkroom in secondary school in her homeland of Denmark. ​

Sandra realised she enjoyed photography after taking her very first photo, "I got myself a £5 credit card sized 1 megapixel digital camera," she remembers. "The thing could only hold 12 photos and I could never tell how the pictures would turn out, but I would spend days on end with it, forgetting the world around me."

Sandra never had a mentor, so it’s been a journey of trial and error and a lot of figuring things out as she went along. 

Having spent eight months assisting two very successful UK still life photographers at the beginning of her photography journey (Graham Tooby & Liam Kennedy) & occasionally fellow music photographer Mick Hutson - she learnt how attention to detail is the key when you’re after a good picture. 

​Fast forward some years later and she is now a successful, self-taught freelancer working out of London and shooting a number of different types of photography, specialising in studio work, live gigs, outdoor shoots and events. 

Live photography has taught her a lot about pressure and the ability to work in a fast and very limited space of time, as you only get one chance to catch the moment - a valuable skill to have in any genre of photography.
